In 2015, KATEM was registered as a manufacturing company, designated as a technology venture, and established its R&D center.
That same year, we received the Top SME Award at the opening of the Gyeongnam Creative Economy Innovation Center, recognizing our technological excellence.

KATEM has expanded into rail vehicle parts, commercial and military vehicle components, and construction equipment.
We create value across design, manufacturing, and reliability testing.

Recently, we successfully localized and began mass production of drive shafts for special-purpose military vehicles.
We also localized high-speed train (KTX, KTX-Sancheon) brake discs, previously dependent on imports, and commercialized them with success.
Furthermore, we continue localization efforts for brake discs and drive shafts for conventional and metropolitan rail, in collaboration with KORAIL, KRRI, KIMM, and KIMS, strengthening our R&D capabilities through patents and knowledge management.

KATEM holds ISO 9001 and IRIS/ISO 22163 certifications, as well as technical and quality accreditations such as New Technology (NET), Reliability (R-Mark), and Performance (K-Mark).
We are also pursuing global certifications to become a leading specialist in railway components, delivering world-class Product recognized in the global market.
